Psychic and physical violence among Kosovo families, seven cases for one day

Kosovo police have reported seven cases of domestic violence in the last 24 hours in Kosovo.

On one occasion a person has been arrested in Kamenica after physically assaulting his wife. Suspect has been sent to the holding.

“Kamenica, 09.02.2022-16:00. The Kosovo male suspect has been arrested after the same man physically attacked his wife's female Kosovo victim. The victim suffered bodily injuries and accepted the same medical treatment. At the prosecutor's decision, the suspect has been sent to the maintenance of”, police report reported.

Two men and women have been arrested in Malisheva after causing psychic violence in the father-in-law of the suspects respectively.

“Malevo 18.02.2022-09:30. Two suspects, a Kosovo male and female (virgin male) have been arrested under suspicion of exercising psychic violence against the father, the Kosovo male victim. The case has been consulted by the state prosecutor, who has recommended that after interview the suspects be released and the case is processed in regular procedure”, the report further said.

Even in Gjakova, one person was arrested after physically attacking his wife.

“Gjakov, 17.02.2022-22:00. The Kosovo male suspect has been arrested after the same man physically attacked his wife's female Kosovo victim. The victim is being treated at the Gjakova Regional Hospital. In the case, the state prosecutor with whose decision the suspect after the interview was sent to maintaining” has reported in the statement.

Meanwhile, on another occasion in Malisheva, two people after meeting the same person.

“Malevo 16.02.2022-19:30. “Malevo, 18.02.2022-1700. Kosovo's female victim has reported that there is ongoing psychic pressure from the male Kosovo suspect (her husband's husband). The suspect has been arrested and after interviewing with the prosecutor's decision has been released in regular procedure”, the report said.

While in Vushtrri a person was arrested after exercising psychic violence against his daughter

“The Kosovo male suspect has been arrested because the same one has been exercising psychic violence against his daughter, the Kosovo female victim. The case has been consulted by the state prosecutor, who has recommended that after interview the suspect be released and the case is prosecuted in regular procedure”, the report said.

Even in Skenderaj, a man was arrested after running his former wife.

“Skennderaj, 18.02.2022-14:20. The Kosovo male suspect has been arrested after the same wife has detained the former Kosovo female victim, who also has court protection order. At the prosecutor's decision the suspect has been sent to the maintaining”, police report.
