According to the AKS, this publication is based on the collection of prices of local agricultural products in Kosovo.
“Data collection is done on the market, farms and other sites, where agricultural prices can be collected. Products that provide basis for the price index of agricultural products are divided into two main groups: Plant and livestock products. Within the framework of plant products, prices are collected for these groups: cereals, foraging plants, vegetables, potatoes, and trees. In livestock products, prices are collected for livestock and livestock products. Under livestock prices are collected for four categories of animals: cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens. These awards are based on the living weight of animals. In the framework of livestock products, prices are collected for milk, eggs and honey. All prices are estimated at the Euros and the measures are in kg, litres and pieces.
In 2021, the annual price index of plant products has an increase of 13.3%, compared to 2020. And the price index of livestock products has an increase of 0.2% in 2021, compared to 2020. Meanwhile, the overall price index of agricultural products has an increase of 5.9% in 2021, compared to 2020. Compared to 2015, the annual price index of plant products has an increase of 27.5%. in 2021. The price index of livestock products has an increase of 8.4% in 2021, compared to 2015”, says the report.
Meanwhile, the annual total agricultural product index has an increase of 16.5% in 2021, compared to 2015.
