The current situation with patients affected by COVID-19, essential drugs and also protection tools at Paya Hospital is stable, but in this hospital they say there is a shortage of infections.
Krasniqi, cardiologist at the Pec Hospital, has told Kosova Preis that there is a lack of infection, but hopes there will be other doctors interested and especially in the infectious department.
We have a lack of infection at Peja Hospital. Currently, there is only one doctor, an infectious specialist, and we hope to have other doctors join Peja's hospital and infectious ward”, Krasniqi said.
He said there are currently two patients with COVID-19, but that their situation is stable.
We have only two patients infected with the COVID-19, who are lying in the infectious department and their present state is stable. Normally they are dealing with oxygen therapy and other protocol therapy, which applies to Kosovo. At the moment, we have enough beds for other patients with this virus, which, for the time being, normally, has dropped the flow of patients with this virus”, he said.
Fortunately, however, he said that there has never been a shortage of drugs or protective measures during the pandemic.
There were no and no drugs from the essential list, so we've always had drugs from the essential list that goes into treating patients with COVID-19... thankfully because of the beginning of the pandemic we've always had protective tools for treating this virus, so we've never had a shortage in this”, he said.
