The Democratic Party of Kosovo has demanded the formation of a parliamentary investigative commission for the country's energy sector.
MP PDK, Ferat Shala at today's plenary session, said the government has created fog and uncertainty to cover up the failure in the energy sector. He also listed several reasons, which he held to testify to this.
“With new tariffs according to ZRE must be implemented by February 9th, reading is done in late January. Why, the average daily consumption is now increasing and it is taking an average of nine days for consumers who have a smart one and then multiplying for the 18th days of February. When the billing started what's going on with consumers who don't have a smart one. How's their energy getting fat, slipper or something? KECO has submitted a ZRE application for new tariffs to begin on March 1st, but that request is again rejected because the government and the ERE will not free our citizen from payments. All the government's reasons for raising tariffs have been high due to import and consumption, today that we have decreased consumption and improved conditions why citizens should pay the same fee”, he said.
According to him, through the parliamentary investigative commission, the truth about the mismanagement of Kurti government in the country's energy sector could be revealed.
“On behalf of the PDK, we ask them to form a parliamentary investigative commission for the country's energy sector, where we will jointly reveal the truth and mismanagement of this government in the country's energy sector”, he said.
He said that as a consequence of government management the COSTT public company is on the verge of bankruptcy.
