The chairman of the Parliament's Supreme Chamber has confirmed that the Russian president has demanded permission to use Russian armed forces abroad, since he has officially recognised two separatist regions east of Ukraine, the AP writes.
Addressing the Chamber during a part of a session that was broadcast online, one of the deputy defence ministers said Russia has no other choice and requested immediate approval.
