Parliament holds solemn session on 14th anniversary of Independence

In honor of the 14th anniversary of Kosovo's Independence today, the Parliament will hold the solemn session.

The solemn hearing on the 14th anniversary of Kosovo's Declaration of Independence will be held at 11:00.

In honour of the 14th anniversary of Kosovo's citizenship, a series of activities organised by central and local institutions will be held.

Cemonies in honour of this day will begin with the establishment of the state flag from the KSF Ceremonial Guard to the courtyard of the Office of the Prime Minister, in which President Vjosa Osmani, Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca, and Prime Minister Albin Kurti will participate.

The central tycoon will be the parade of the Kosovo Security Forces and the Kosovo Police at “Mother Teresa” in Pristina, while the Kosovo Assembly will also meet at the solemn session.

All the municipalities have organized activities that begin with prayers in honour of martyrs and martyrs, as well as solemn sessions of the Communist Convention.

Today's morning, heads of state and representatives of central and local parties and institutions will pay their respects at September of legendary KLA commander Adem Jashar in Prekaz and Skenderaj, Zahir Pajazit's September in Pristina, the tomb of martyrs in Glodjan, Recak and the tomb of former President Ibrahim Rugova.

The country's leaders will also receive a state welcome on the 14th anniversary of Kosovo's independence at the Youth Palace in Pristina.

A number of sports and cultural activities throughout the country have also been warned during the day.

Otherwise, on Sunday, February 17th 2008, at 3:39 p.m. in the Kosovo Parliament, the Declaration of Independence was read, and Kosovo was declared independent until a new state was confirmed in the Balkans.
