Obadiah meets Escobar and Lajcak: LDK backs dialogue with bilateral recognition

In a media communiqué issued by the LDK, Abdixhiku has reportedly informed Lajcak and Escobar of his party's positions regarding the Kosovo dialogue process with Serbia.
Abdixhiku has declared that the final should include mutual recognition at the current borders of the Republic of Kosovo and be in line with the country's Constitution.
“Mayor Abdixhiku announced the LDK's stances in the face of the political situation, with particular emphasis on the dialogue process, by which the LDK once again announced that it supports the process of dialogue between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia, which must end with mutual recognition and full normalisation of relations between the two countries by respecting the territorial integrity, sovereignty and constitutional order of Kosovo. The LDK remains a creditable partner of the US and the European Union in the country's key processes”, said in the communique.
Lajcak and Escobar today have also met with PDK leader Memli Krasniqi and AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj.
They have arrived in Pristina on Monday, where they met with President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo for European Integration, Development and Dialog, Besnik Bislimi.
After these meetings, US Deputy Assistant Secretary Escobar said the US strongly supports Kosovo's independence and sovereignty.
Meanwhile, Lajcak said they agreed to speed up the work of dawning the luck of the dead.
While Kosovo state leaders, President Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said Serbia is blocking the process of dialogue and state sovereignty and functioning should remain unencumbered by any one's efforts.
Otherwise, the visit of diplomats comes after Kosovo and Serbia since July 2021 have not held a single round of high-level talks, within dialogue mediated by the European Union.
After Kosovo, Escobar and Lajcak will go to Serbia.
