China has called for self-control after Russia's President Vladimir Putin ordered that nuclear weapons be placed on high alert, increasing the likelihood of nuclear explosion in the Ukrainian conflict, Periskopi writes.
The “all sides must remain calm, have self-control and avoid speaking away of the” situation, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Weinbin said on Monday.
