Former Kosovo Ambassador to Brussels Bernard Nikaj has said the participation of representatives of a state in conferences like that of Security in Munich is not measured by the number of meetings, but by their quality.
He has commented on Prime Minister Albin Kurti's post, who has said he held them there for three days, 17 meetings with representatives of other countries.
“We need to keep in mind that Kosovo at this conference has participated at the highest state level, under foreign policy representation, means that we have had the president, prime minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diasposa”, Nikaj has said.
If we look at meetings that the prime minister mentioned in his post, they are not of a level of such representation. Especially if we consider the level of participation from other countries that have been at the conference, it means that the US are represented by the vice president, while our delegation, represented by the president, has met only one senator of Ioua, then representation and the level of meetings has not been appropriate since the last 15x1>.
“Creates the impression that for a number of meetings, on which we are represented at the highest level, we have met people who have been the foreign minister's level or just the prime minister, we have not needed such a doubling”.
Nikaj meetings held by Kosovo in Munich have called them Kurdish, adding that only the prime minister with his delegation would suffice.
If we look at the panels in which the prime minister has participated, only the foreign affairs minister has been able to attend. They were general topic panels, where even some academic representative could give his opinion in general”.
“From the pictures we have seen and the information we have, comes the impression that the foreign minister had gone most to take notes at these meetings, rather than having any particular role at this conference. She did not have any bilateral meeting with any of her counterparts, but has gone to attend the meetings of Prime Minister and President”, Nikaj said in Klan Kosova.
