Through a Facebook text, Gervala has said that the coming days Kosovars will be notified about the details of the use of car permits in Germany.

The new regulation is expected to take effect after publishing in Germany's official notebook (Bundesanzieger), probably within two weeks.

Over the next few days, you will be informed about the legal deadlines as well as all important details regarding the use of your license/patent in Germany”, writes Gervalla.

Gervala expresses optimism that Germany will be an example for other countries to recognise Kosovo's permit/patents.

“I am convinced that the example with Germany will be a great help even during the negotiations and negotiations we are conducting with other states about recognising our permits/patents, she added.

Full Facebook drill:

With the vote of the German Federal Council, the long and difficult process of recognising Kosovo's command/patent permits was closed today. Thousands of thousands of Kosovo citizens in Germany have been for years deprived of their right to drive with their permission/patent gained in Kosovo.

This process should have ended much earlier. Thousands of Euros have paid Albanian families in Germany to make a German driver's license, which for a considerable majority of them connected directly with the possibility of working or not.

Today, however, is a good day for all of us to enjoy together.

I am convinced that the example with Germany will be a great help even during the negotiations and negotiations that we are conducting with other states about the recognition of our permits/paths.

I am aware that our citizens abroad face many other challenges, which require solutions as quickly as possible. But on the other hand, I am convinced that with work and commitment in the future, we will be able to solve one and a large part of them.

Over the next few days, you will be informed about legal deadlines as well as all important details regarding the use of your license/patenti in Germany.

I thank from the heart all those who, by their work, contributed to the recognition of permits/paths from Kosovo to Germany.

I take the opportunity to thank especially the former German Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr. Heiko Maas for keeping the promise he made last year in Pristina that the issue of these permits would be forwarded to the Federal Council before completing his mandate.

Kosovo submitted the application for patent recognition in August 2018.
