Vetevendosje deputies chief Mimoza Kusari Lila has reacted in terms of publishing MPs' oil spending.
Kusari says the decision on compensation is signed by Jakup Krasniqi:
She writes:
Explain and Notice
Yesterday, the expenses of Kosovo Assembly deputies' trip, which have sparked numerous citizens' reactions, have been published.
Aware of the importance of spending public money and the importance of accountability to MPs' responsibilities, we want to give full information on these compensations.
The decision on ransoming MPs based on their responsibilities and labour obligations dates back to October 10th, 2011, and is signed by then-Mr. Jakup Krasniqi. This decision, among other things, envisions compensation for travel expenses for participation in the work of the plenary session and on the set commissions with the following following:
Up to 30 km ʹ10 euros
up to 60 km, 20 euros and
Over 60 km thirty euros.
The implementation of this decision is not done with derivative bills, but as part of the monthly salary, which is automatically calculated with the monthly salary. MPs, in the case of their registration for mandates at the beginning of each legislature, meet the forms for their residence.
In the case of their registration and the beginning of the Parliament's work, automatically calculate their participation in functional sessions and commissions, and with them compensation for travel.
Currently in the V legislature III of the Assembly, there are 67 deputies who have registered settlements outside Pristina, and of them 36 are from the Vetevendosje Movement.
By this announcement we want to inform the public opinion, that the deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement, as parliamentary majority, will voluntarily withdraw from the compensation of travel spending and also call on other MPs to apply the same standard. We will also ask the Parliament's Headship, reviewing the decision to compensate MPs.
We remain committed to establishing the performance of MP's work, accountability and responsibility towards the citizens of the Republic!
