Mighty storm hits Germany, Hamburg airport closes

A powerful storm and winds reaching 152 km/h speed have crashed over several regions of Germany. Hamburg airport is almost closed, and Frankfurt's has suspended many flights. Hamburg airport is almost closed, and Frankfurt's has suspended many flights. Lufthansa cancelled 20 flights, and said some are expected to have delays.
In many regions railways have been blocked by fallen trees, and some areas also have power outages.
Material damage from the Ylenia storm has not yet been calculated, but they are expected to be large. Authorities have called on people, if they can stay at home and in any case, to remove the scaffoldes or high-tensity lines.
Emergency teams have been in service all night. North Renania Westphalia has closed schools today.
During the day heavy rainfall is expected, while Saturday evening, according to metheologists, there may be another worsening weather conditions in the north and central regions of Germany.
