State chief prosecutor Alexander Lumez expires the mandate in April of this year.
With pride counting the Prosecution's successes during the prosecutors' annual conference, Lumezi said he believes anyone taking his place will be willing to defend the honor, authority and independence of the State Prosecutor's Institute.
The State Attorney's Institute for several months will have a new leader who must gain confidence not only from our state institutions but also from international partners. It should assess the sense of co-operation on the common road in establishing this process fairly and transparently based on the value of equality and merityocracy”.
“During these years, this institution has been unique in showing strength and determination to cope with any created situation, I believe it will be so in the future. The system we've been heading has been stable to withstand any fluctuations resulting from the unwarranted criticism of individuals who wanted to see it the way they imagined it to be”.
On the other hand, Lumez said his seven-year trip would be impossible without the support of local institutions and international partners.
“I thank all state prosecutors who served justice” with their work, Lumez said.
