University professor Blerim Latifi has posted on Facebook regarding the maintenance of workers and trainings on the part of hotel institutions, the topic that has become known recently as many officials decide to hold training and other workers in tourism sites..
Latifi criticises this practice and says UNMIK bureaucratics brought it to Kosovo.
When after the war in Kosovo was decided NMIC, his bureaucratics found themselves in a devastated place. These bureaucratics, as soon as the work week was finished, took their luggage and weekends to countries in the region, mainly to hotels in Macedonia, Greece, Serbia, Montenegro, and sometimes even in Albania. Then, the same, another practice was invented: part of their jobs were moved to these places, such as various local staff workers and training, various tables and conferences”, says Latifi.
He adds that local bureaucratic “ran in love” with this practice, and adds that Kosovo has lost large sums of money.
“So the tourism of international bureaucratics was born, which was to be carried out in Kosovo and moved to the comfort of the region's hotels. Local Democrats quickly fell in love with this kind of tourism and continued it even after UNMIK left. Over the years Kosovo has lost, perhaps millions of euros in this ugly corrupt practice, while its positive results can hardly be seen anywhere. Of course, even in this case we are Sui Geners, because only among Albanians can you find such practices where institutions are replaced by hotels. This may also be why our hotel belongings and luxury have been confused, and we look for it in institutions”, he concluded.
