Latifi issued this statement during the 515, 970 doses of Pfizer vaccine donated by the United States.
For ten (10) months since the beginning of the vaccine in Kosovo, 1.8 million, vaccines have been given; about 63% of our population over 12 years old have received a dose of vaccine against COVID-19 and 57% of both doses. The beginning of the third dose is encouraging and should increase. All this hard work has been done thanks to support and partnership with U NICEF, WHO, the US and European partners. With all these results, we can't be released and stopped in this process, because the fight against COVID-19 has not yet finished”, Latifi said.
From this ceremony, Latifi has called on citizens over the age of 12 to be vaccinated. This call has been given by pregnant women and nursing mothers.
Therefore, from this country today, I call on all citizens of my mother-in-law to be vaccinated. I especially urge parents to vaccinate their children. Pregnant mothers and nursing mothers must also be vaccinated. No reserve or hesitation. That is how we will repay our friends the support we have received on difficult days, while health workers and all those who have contributed thanks for their persistence and self - sacrifice in this uncompetitive fight”, he said further.
