Kurti mention minimum wage figure: We'll propose soon.

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said they will soon propose the minimum wage level. Kurti has also made it known that the government's decision, which imposes state administration on the country this year to meet the quota for employing disabled persons.

The chief of executives has said they have begun taking the necessary steps towards increasing the minimum wage, which, according to him, will ensure dignified life for all workers indiscriminately.

As workers, regardless of the sector they work in, dignified life is allowed, we have begun taking the necessary steps towards fulfilling another commitment of ours, which is to increase the minimum wage. With the draft law prepared, we will avoid all existing legal uncertainties while in co-ordination with the economic-social council we will soon propose the minimum wage level”, Kurti said.

While in terms of employing persons with limited capacity, Kurti has said that administration bodies are obliged to provide access to institutions for disabled employees.

I've made a decision today that imposes the bodies of the state administration to meet the quota for employment of disabled persons during 2022. Also, administration bodies are obliged to take action to provide access to institutions for disabled employees in accordance with the law on skills, professional rehabilitation and employment of disabled persons. The decision has come into force today as our joint commitment to fulfilling this obligation continues every day”, he said.

These, Prime Minister Kurti has announced at the Government meeting, which he has said is being held in the 11th month of receiving the mandate.

On March 23, 2021, approximately this hour, we took office as a new government, so it takes another month to become the first year of our four-year term”, Kurti said until he opened the government meeting.
