At today's government meeting, speaking of increased electricity prices in Kosovo, Prime Minister Albin Kurti said the increase was due to the global energy crisis.
He said that if there is no price increase or subsidise all the energy required or, as the prime minister said, is required to miraculously eliminate the energy crisis, he said it is impossible to do so. So great.
Part of the prime minister's word, followed by Periscope:
We've raised the original 75 million to 100 million.
This has enabled the new tariffs, not 600 kilowatts, but 800 kilowatters.
The price of energy for all citizens remains unchanged for 800 kilowatts.
The new tariffs are only for over 800 kilowatts spent over a month.
During the hot months, 89.2 percent of households will not be affected by increased electricity prices.
For businesses there will be no increase in electricity prices, at a time when the prices of many products are increasing the cause of imported inflation, we aim to avoid further increases in products and services.
So we save both citizens and businesses.
Dear citizens,
There are no ideal solutions from the energy crisis to any other crisis.
A situation like before cannot be immediately sought in the face of crisis. A way to overcome the crisis should be targeted for as many of you as possible.
When asked not to increase the price of electricity when we're spending more than we're producing and when import prices continue to be higher than usual what is actually required is either the state to subsidize all of the import of energy or miraculously eliminate the energy crisis.
The first is unaffordable, the second is impossible.
