Kurt also meets with Hahn, the latter gives some promises

Johannes Hahn is known in Kosovo and throughout the region. He has often come to Kosovo while at the post of Commissioner for Enlargement. Hahn was severely attacked by former President Thaci in 2017, who had said that he takes care of Serbia only as he had completely attacked the EU for lack of vision and courage in relation to the Balkans. Now the Austrian holds the post of European Union Commissioner for Business and Administration. Friday, he met Prime Minister Kurti. He has asked the latter for more help for Kosovo.

Kurt, accompanied by Gervala, met Hahn on the first day of his participation in the Munich Security Conference.

According to a report by the Office of Prime Minister “economic rehabilitation, the dual system of education, the Joint Regional Market and visa liberalisation were the main points of discussion during the meeting. ”

“Prime Minister Kurti said Kosovo has marked major improvement of economic indicators over the past year. The country's economy has responded positively to our good governance, the prime minister said. Annual revenues have increased, annual circulation of businesses has also increased, exports and foreign investment” was quoted as Kurti.

“In terms of regional co-operation, however, Joint Regional Market Prime Minister Kurti stressed that Kosovo supports the Berlin Process and that the Joint Regional Market views it as the proper and only platform that enables the full implementation of four European Union freedoms. He also said that regional co-operation as a premiere should always have equal and mutual treatment between all parties involved” has added to the prime minister.

Kurti has told Hahan that its liberalisation is now denied for Kosovo, adding that <x0) improvements in economic indicators, the fight against organised crime and corruption, and reformist policies in the justice system and public administration make Kosovo more meritable for even greater financial support from the European Union”.

According to ZKM's announcement, Commissioner Hahn said that the European Union, in addition, would technically and financially support projects for education and professional skills.

Otherwise, Hahn has been on the sting of criticism during 2017 by President Hashim Thaci.
