KPM) removes Russian channels from Kosovo TV platforms

The Independent Media Commission has decided on the temporary departure from broadcasting all channels originating from the Russian Federation.

This was made known through a KPM announcement on the social Facebook network.

In order to prevent propaganda and public security protection in the Republic of Kosovo, the Independent Media Commission has made a decision to order all distribution operators who temporarily withdraw from broadcasting channels originating from the Russian Federation, with the aim of preventing propaganda and protecting public security in the Republic of Kosovo”, the report said.

The aim of this decision is reportedly to prevent propaganda and protection of public security in the Republic of Kosovo, not obstruction and violation of freedom of speech and media freedom.
