The decision on the dismissal of Nehat Thaci was taken by the State Council for Education and Discipline.
And news of his dismissal had been made public by Deputy Prime Minister Blerim Saqu.
The following “Days expect invitations from the Council to present our facts that support our request for Mr. Thaci from the position of USKK Director General”, he had declared.
Despite this position now being led by the deputy director of the Kosovo Correcting Service, there is still no General Director, as long as it has been many months since the departure of Nehat Thaci.
In this regard, the news.net has contacted the Ministry of Justice, who have stated that there is still nothing accurate on this issue.
According to the MD's direction of the Correcting Service, this will remain until the completion of the announced competition procedure.
The “following legislation in effect, currently at the helm of the Circular Service, is the deputy director general of the USKK and will remain so until the completion of the competition procedure announced by the USKK General Director, also under the legal provisions in force”, was said at the justice ministry's response.
Despite this either now, no details have been given before regarding the contest for Director of the Correct Service.
And from this the minister has stressed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is taking over.
“U announce that the MPB is competent for developing procedures for high appointments, in this case also for the position of USKK director”, the MD said.
Unlike in the framework of the Kosovo Correcting Service there was recently a development, exactly at the Correcting Centre in Lipjan.
In this correctional center, security cameras were placed in the women's detention wards.
Two senior officials have been suspended.
This decision to establish security cameras has also been praised as human rights violations.
Ali Gashi, a leader of the SKK's duty, has stated that the location of cameras has been made in order to preserve the lives of mentally troubled women. But, putting cameras in the women's prison in Lipjan has cost Fatlinda Mustaf, the manager's task manager at the Women's Correcting Centre in Lipjan and Ilir Kelmendi, security director at the Correcting Service ( SKK).
According to Ali Gashi, the two officials were suspended as cameras were not reported by the leader of the USKK, Gashi himself.
