The latter say that they have neither been invited nor recognized by the Council. Azem calls them unserious and the last people to talk about the minimum wage in Kosovo.

As he spoke of the minimum wage in Kosovo, Azemi said that the union does not recognise any wages that are below 400 euros.

We as Kosovo private sector unions do not recognise this Economic-Social Council, the composition of the BSP, since there are non-serious people, people who have nothing to do with minimum wage. There are people who are least concerned with this salary and we have said our word, every salary, every council who signed minimum wages below 400 euros in Kosovo, let them otherwise assess Kosovo's private sectors union does not recognise any minimum wage under the 400 euro” wage, Azemi said.

Azemi said BSPK has been privatised and that it is being led by two non-serious branches, while adding that governing institutions do not know who the BSPK representative is.

So we've said, you sign whatever you want, but we've invited private sector workers so no employees can sign a job contract under 400 euros. Since those who sign in their name, they don't feel poverty, they know how to live on their coughs nothing more”, Azemi said of EO.

Azem said they refuse to accept that minimum wage, which could be below 250 euros, while he says they have legitimacy from private sector workers not to sign under 250 euros.

“We have officially announced even through the media that Kosovo private sector workers want a dignified salary and do not want a handover of a nonsense as we have so far. We've had an explanation that supposedly we, when we've asked for 350 euros, the total of 170 euros they're saying will now be paid at 250 euros, even contributions to private sector workers that approximately gross wages could be dropped somewhere around 280-90 euros. But, however, we have been willing to sign this salary a year ago when prices have been more stable, more serious. Now at this time when we have all this amount on the basis of the cost of human life, even the minimum wage” has said Azemi.

Unlike Azem, the chairman of the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Kosovo (BSPK), Att and Hykoli.

He thinks the minimum wage should be 350 euros, which he says the Economic-Social Council has mandated the commission on many issues, including minimum wages.

By the end of February, they should bring us a recommendation if the price movement, the movement of the citizens' baskets, differs from the salaries said to be 250 euros. We as BSPK have come to the conclusion that the minimum wage should not be less than 350 euros”, he said.

In an interview for Online Economy, Hykoli said government and institutions' reactions in terms of demand for the minimum wage should be in relation to developments in Kosovo, in relation to prices and salaries.

“According to everything related to the lives of Kosovo employees, therefore any discussion that will be for the minimum wage below 350 euros we like BSPK appreciate is small. There is no protection at work, there is no salary, the minimum wage is what they charge too much, and there are many other problems which, perhaps, with this minimum wage if we can vote on the economic-Social council will be a slightly greater relief for Kosovo worker”, Hykoli said.
