Sources close to this issue have suggested that the internationals are seeking from Kosovo's prime minister, alternatives to how Serbian citizens would be allowed to vote even from Kosovo for parliamentary elections in Serbia.
These sources have suggested that the request was made to the government chief earlier this week, reports RTV Dukagini.
It is also scheduled until the end of this month for Prime Minister Albin Kurti to return.
On this issue, television has also addressed questions to the Prime Minister's Office.
But no response has been received from this institution, while none of the officials have agreed to comment on the subject.
While government officials have not commented, connoisseurs of political developments in the country say Prime Minister Albin Kurti is now in a difficult position.
According to Agon Maliqi, this position has burdened the fact that no referendum was allowed for some constitutional changes in Serbia long ago.
“Kurti is in a difficult situation, as the referendum was not allowed”, he said, RTV Duguagjini reported.
The Kosovo executive chief had cited Serbia's liaison office in Kosovo as the possibility that local Serbs would vote for the referendum, but also in the elections.
Maliqi, suggests that any decision the government makes should be co-ordinating with the opposition and other institutions.
According to him, the referendum issue and holding elections should not be viewed as being cut off from dialogue.
“Kurti should have co-ordination with the opposition, because these topics relate to dialogue”, he said.
RTV Duagjini has contacted the Embassy of the United States, Great Britain, France, and Germany on this issue.
But the same diplomatic representation has not returned answers.
The European Union Office has done the same.
Meanwhile, at the meeting Prime Minister Albin Kurti had days earlier with special nurses Escobar and Lajcak, he has indicated they have also discussed the possibility of holding Serbia's elections in Kosovo.
A tense situation arose between Kosovo and Serbia in mid-January, when Kosovo could not hold the Serbian referendum in Kosovo.
Even large Special Unit forces were deployed north of Mitrovica to intervene if there were attempts to hold the referendum.
