Half of Kosovars willing to leave the country

Recent levels of public opinion result in alarming numbers of Kosovo's readiness to go abroad. According to research conducted by PIPOS, which was released on the “Rubicon” show in Klan Kosova, 54.8 per cent of citizens would emigrate if they could. Of the 1050 citizens surveyed, only 28.2 per cent have said they would not emigrate even if they could, 11.4 per cent are not sure, while 5.6 per cent have refused to respond.
The most interested in getting out of the country are the 18-to-25-year-old group, of which 73 per cent have declared willing to emigrate, while only 16 per cent would not leave the country even if they could.
The readiness to make it west has been expressed by 62 per cent of age group respondents from 26 to 35 years old, meanwhile by those of the 36 to 45 per cent age group.
Half of the 46 to 55-year-old age group respondents are willing to leave the country.
The percentage of respondents who have responded that they would emigrate if they could fall to 38% at the 56- to 65-year-old age group and 30 per cent to age groups over 65 years.
