British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has accused the Russian news channel RT of selling materials that are doing much harm to the truth.
British prime minister's comments come after the EU stopped on Sunday RT, formerly known as Russia Today and Sputnik.
Johnson called for British communications regulator Ofcom to see if the country's rules are being violated. But the prime minister made it clear that the decision should be left to the independent body to decide.
An Ocom spokesman said that “given the seriousness of the crisis in Ukraine would consider complaints about covering the news of each broadcaster as a priority. ”
European Commission President Ursula von der Layen said Sunday that the Kremlin media machine would be banned in the EU.
The state-owned <x0Media Russia Today and Sputnik and their associates will no longer be able to spread their lies to justify Putin's war,” said Von der Layen, noting that the EC was developing tools to prevent their toxic and harmful deninforms in Europe.
