Hyseni has written that the status quo is Kosovo's biggest enemy while citing developments in Ukraine.

“As I have said many times so far, I want to strongly stress that the Status-Quoy, respectively, preserving the frozen situation in the reports with Serbia is Kosovo's biggest enemy today and tomorrow! It is urgent that Kosovo and Serbia reach final agreements possibly within this year, so that these two states do not slide towards a permanent conflict, exposing plans and influences by destabilising destabilising the constitutional order and security in Kosovo and the Balkans. The best example are current developments in and around Ukraine. Therefore, strengthening partnership and communication and systematic co-ordination with the US and the EU is vital for Kosovo”, it has written.
