Enver Hoxhaj, deputy chairman of the Kosovo Assembly, has said in an interview that Kosovo, the last three to four years, is buying out time and that it can cost in the internal and external plan.
Kosovo's “three-four years ago is buying out time and this buyout of time can cost Kosovo a lot either in the internal plan or in the external plan.”, Hoxhaj said.
He has since indicated that foreign policy is not a priority and said Kosovo does not have any foreign policy.
“Foreign policy is not a priority and in fact Kosovo does not have any foreign policy. Since Kurti has deliberately abandoned Kosovo to have an active foreign policy, to have measurable goals and concrete achievements. Foreign policy is important for Kosovo for a simple reason. We have declared Kosovo sovereign and independent, we have and have a great international support, but as you know, the birth of independent Kosovo has also had opponents, there is no international consensus on the Security Council, and the fact that over the past 14 years we have made efforts to fulfill our goals in time, but after 14 years we are still out of the UN, outside the international system, and we have made efforts to achieve these goals in an international order, which is taking place as seen in recent months, a change in Kosovo government shows that it is not conscious how important for a new state, the state is a complete foreign policy. I think this can cost Kosovo, if not directly in 2022, the consequences will be long-term”, Hoxhaj said on A2 CNN.
