Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu has said Kosovo institutions share the same position as in Serbia's elections in Kosovo, where she stressed that citizens with two citizenship will be able to vote via mail or liaison office. Haxhiu has said Serbia is not interested in citizens' rights, but the same has territorial claims on the Republic of Kosovo.
The justice minister has recalled the resolution adopted by the Parliament of Kosovo, where the organisation of Serbia's referendum within Kosovo's territory has been banned for what it has said is important to respect Kosovo's Constitution and legislation in force.
We are all aware that Serbia has claims to hold elections in Kosovo because that west territorial one towards the Republic of Kosovo. Serbia does not care for citizens' rights”, Haxhiu has said.
She said that our “government, but also the Parliament has issued the resolution has halted holding the referendum, it is important to respect the constitution and legislation in force. Citizens who have two citizenships to vote through the liaison office or by mail. There's nothing else in that direction”, Haxhi added.
