Ukraine's ambassador to Germany, Andriy Melnyk, has criticised the German government's response to the Ukrainian Russian occupation, naming “hearty”.
I have to tell you that I haven't cried in years. Today was that day, and we cried. However, not only because of the treacherous war of annihilation. I actually cried today because of the coldness and indifference I encountered in Berlin during the day”, the Ukrainian ambassador declared.
He met with several members of the German government cabinet and said he was received by “several ministers”, of which he requested “fuels and equipment for the army”. The ambassador said their response really left him speechless, writes ZDF.
Melnyk quoted German government officials as saying: “After our assessment, you, Ukrainians, may have a few more hours. There's no point in helping you now. ”
The ambassador said he could not understand how one could remain “so cold-hearted and stubborn” in front of soldiers who are being killed and citizens who are being shot.
He urged the Germans to help Ukraine change its mind to the federal government. This policy, this reluctance, leaves us as a sacrifice that is slaughtered in front of cameras”, the Ukrainian ambassador said. /
