Germany's Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock has appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who will stop playing people's lives during the day at the start of the tense diplomatic week, writes CNN, and Periscope follows.
“I am constantly calling on the Russian government and Russia's president: Don't play with people's lives! ” said Minister Backback after her arrival at the European Council for Foreign Affairs meeting in Brussels.
She added that “The really irresponsible game with civilians and people in the occupied areas- on the sides- is irresponsible”.
On the other hand, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is expected to speak with Putin during the day as part of the ongoing deco Popmatic efforts to find a solution to the crisis in Ukraine. The call was announced by German government spokesman Stephen Hebestreet.
