What they say in the CEC, why mandates go from subject to subject during vote count

Central Election Commission spokesman Valmir Elezi has clarified the way they publish election results, stressing that the process of showing them is dynamic and is updated in real time with the count of each ballot box.
According to him, the differences between political subjects for recent mandates are often very small, which makes even several dozen or hundreds of votes have a direct impact on the cofficient rankings and on the final division of mandates.
Elez has explained that in some cases a political subject could temporarily reach the cofficiency needed to win the mandate, which could then change with the inclusion of new ballot boxes.
The “may occur at a certain moment of processing results, the subject achieves the necessary cofficiency, and the mandate appears in published results. However, with the inclusion of results from other ballot boxes, the report of the cofficients could change and the previous priority be lost, causing the mandate to be passed on to another political subject”, Elez stated.
He has stressed that this is a normal stream of the election process, as results are constantly updated and any numbered box can affect the final distribution of mandates.
According to the overall results, Vetevendosje has 45.48 per cent of the vote, remaining the largest political force in the country.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo ranks second with 20.11 percent, while the Democratic League of Kosovo third with 17.14 percent.
The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has received slightly less than 7 per cent of the vote. /Telegraphy.
