By yesterday (April 20th), the federal government has removed about 20 seats from the list of high-risk areas, including Spain, the US and Great Britain. So has the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). Tunisia, Morocco, and India have also been removed from the list, as well as parts of France. This allows for easier access to travelers from these countries to Germany because these countries are no longer classified as high - risk areas. In the recent decision, no other country has been classified as a high-risk zone.
Western Balkan countries: Albania, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina continue to remain on the list of endangered countries, as well as Switzerland and many other neighbouring Germany. This means that people from these countries have to meet entry forms in Germany, and if they have not been vaccinated or healed in the last three months, they have to have negative tests and enter quarantine.
So far more than 100 countries have been classified as high-risk areas. The federal and land governments have decided on Wednesday that the rankings of countries must be revised in order to ease travel again. For high-risk countries, there are special rules for travel entrances from these countries to Germany. The unexplored and untreated persons also apply to quarantine regulations.
Carantination and Travels
Anyone who enters the country from a high-risk area and is not fully vaccinated means that no vaccine has been vaccinated at least twice or has not been healed in the last three months must be quarantined for ten days. It can be cut back in five days if you take a test and it turns negative. For children who are not yet six years old, isolation ends automatically five days after entering the country. They don't need tests.
The classification of a country as a high - risk zone is also linked to the foreign ministry's warning of unnecessary tourist travel. The removal of countries from this list also facilitates tourist travel in these countries.
Germany has recently decided to lift restrictive measures in three different phases. As of March 20th, all measures in this country are expected to be removed. / DW
