Leaders are formulating, right now, a common answer for a moment for which their intelligence has warned; a moment they feared would happen.
Facing Russia is the most significant test for continuing peace since World War II.
And in their heads will be the words of the leader of a nuclear power whose mood will now seriously question.
“Two words for those who would be tempted to intervene”, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned last night. “Russia will respond immediately and you will have consequences you have never had before in your history”.
