Kosovo and Denmark have agreed since last year to secure 300 seats for prisoners.
But to finalise this issue between Kosovo and Denmark, a delegation of the latter is expected to come for a visit aimed at clarifying this agreement before it can be moved to the Kosovo Assembly.
Deputy Director of the Kosovo Correcting Service Ali Gashi shows that several visits have been conducted so far by the working group from Denmark, as he expresses his readiness to implement the agreement, as soon as it passes to the Assembly.
And the challenge in the Correcting Center remains the number of people with mental disorders, for which additional staff is being required.
According to Gashi, there are 62 minors who are currently imprisoned, where 52 of them are at the Risk Centre for Young People in Lipjan.
As for the Kosovo agreement, Denmark, it was reached in December of last year, with cʹrast Kosova would have 300 cells booked for just as many non-high risk inmates coming from Denmark.
