The Kosovo Gastronomies Association has called for the VAT removal for the sector.
And if that is not done, they warn of price hikes.
Rating the T The VSH at 18 per cent will force gastronoms to protest, so said Gastronomial Association Secretary Arian Vranica, in an interview for Online Economy.
We requested that the VAT be removed. There's reduced citizens' purchasing ability. There's a 40% decrease in consumption. There are increases in inflation, price hikes. Businesses are in a situation where they have to keep the consumer. On the other hand, they have to maintain the advantage of being formal. Protests are not ruled out. The curfew creates unnecessary stress for those around it, and gastronomia works less”.
Vranica proposed that models of other countries be taken to base. Among other things, he indicated, it seems pointless for Kosovo citizens to close when other countries are opening.
We just see the references of other countries that are managing the pandemic. We even have less reason to maintain such restrictions when we know even the poor support we have had to gastronomy businesses. It's obvious to us that the government has received approval of the economic revival. So this measure has never been implemented. Keep close when we have approval of the resurrection and when the whole world is opening it makes no sense. It should be closer to private sector”, he said
