He has said European bloc ready to impose sanctions against Russia
Speaking of the Belgian broadcaster, RTBF, Reynolds has said there must be unanimous compatibility among member states to adopt sanctions.
He has said the measures could gradually be increased, depending on Russian actions.
The first type of sanctions could be linked to stops in travel against individuals and sanctions against economic subjects, through the seizure of assets in Europe and beyond.
In addition, Reynders has said “that it will be necessary to ensure that there will no longer be importation of goods and services from Russia, such as energy, and to disrupt Russia's global access to financial services”.
“Everything is on table”, he said, adding that member states will discuss how gradual the measures will be, as well as the possibility of diplomacy in order to reduce conflict. / REL
