Escobar during these meetings has reiterated that the US fully supports Kosovo's independence and its territorial integrity.

That news conference has said the US supports dialogue and the integration of all Western Balkans into the EU.

From the American perspective, I mean the US fully supports Kosovo's independence, its territorial integrity. You proved to be a solid partner, a good friend, and we thank you for that. For Kosovo and the region, we see extraordinary opportunities. You are European, you are economically, culturally and historically European. We have worked with European colleagues to know the Western Balkans as extraordinary opportunities, not as risks. We encourage all sides to view the Western Balkans as a potential member. Dialogue has our full support”, Escobar said, while promising full US support.

Lajckak will be in Kosovo today, among other things, meeting with political party leaders. Periscop learns you will be with LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku.

Alongside Escobar for a visit to Kosovo is EU Representative for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
