Erdogan says Turkey cannot abandon ties with Russia or Ukraine

Turkey was urged by Ukraine not to allow Russian warships to cross the Bosphorus Strait.

Erdogan has said he is deeply saddened by Moscow's aggression against Ukraine.

“Turkey is committed to using its authority granted by the Montreux Convention in order to prevent the escalation of the Russian crisis -- Ukraine” -- has said Erdogan at the media conference at the Turkish head-in-chief Ankara.
