Enver Hoxha, the first surgeon in Kosovo to patent his medical invention in Germany

Plastic Surgery specialist Enver Hoxha is the first surgeon in Kosovo, who has managed to patent his medical equipment in Germany after a two-year commitment to suck liquids during surgical procedures.

The chairman of the Kosovo Medical Oda, Plerat Sejdiu, at a media conference said that for the first time in Kosovo medicine, there has been a patenting of a medical product from Germany.

Sejdiu stressed that thanks to the patentation of this medical equipment, Kosovo already has its own code for research and other patents.

Seeking to increase the support for scientific research, the OPC chairman indicated that they will now build a Fund to help young doctors.

For the first time in health, our colleagues, Dr. Enver and Professor Arifi, after a two-year job, have managed to patent in a European state of a product, a device that has been shown by its specifics as innovation for developed countries and in this case comes to us. Two years ago, Dr. Enver has already offered us an idea that is developing for this innovation, maybe in a large part, we were skeptical, but the constant and investigative work that Dr. Enver took before himself has arrived since September of this year has been patented as innovation in Germany. This would be an appeal to all of our institutions that are taken or should be taken to stimulate innovations and scientific research so that investment in these research can finally be made possible and we will also be present in health developments in Europe and the world, and be a stimulus for young doctors to stay in Kosovo”, he said.

And the plastic surgeon Enver Hoxha, who discovered this device, said that the device can be used in most surgical fluids.

He said this device is very practical and has no high costs.

Kirurg Hoxha also said that his invention has not met anyone's support.

The device that was invented is used in most surgical fluids, its purpose is to absorb fluids. Within this patent there are two models of the same function. The advantage of this device is that it can be used at all levels of economic development both in the developed world, but also poor countries, it will be very practical and I believe companies in the West will take it to develop, but we hope that in the near future some other equipment will be patented and developed. I have several other projects, but they require a more advanced technology to make it accessible, so this has been one of the simplest, but possible to develop in Kosovo. The sacrifice of work was huge because I had no material support from anyone, it was needed by the family savings fund”, he stressed.

Plastic Surgery Professor Hysni Arifi said that this invention of a doctor, Enver Hodza, has enabled surgeons easier access to surgical procedures.
