The US Embassy has issued a warning to American citizens in Moscow for a possible attack on the Russian capital.
According to foreign media in the embassy announcement, Americans have been warned to have an emergency evacuation plan ready.
The embassy said: “there have been threats of attacks against commercial centres, railway and subway stations, and other public collection sites in major urban areas, including Moscow and St Petersburg, as well as in tense areas along the Russian border with Ukraine”.
As stated further, in the statement it has been added that Americans should review their personal security plans” and have escape plans that “does not rely on American government assistance”.
Such news comes shortly after US media reported that the US has information that Russian commanders have received orders to continue an invasion of Ukraine.
According to CBS News, officials from the country have said Russian field commanders are making specific battle plans on how to deal with an invasion of the country. This does not mean that an invasion is guaranteed, as Russian President Vladimir Putin may change his mind, the official stressed. In the meantime, talking about the Nation's Face, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said: “Everything we're seeing tells us that the decision we believe President Putin has taken to conquer is moving forward”.
