Ukraine and the West fear that last night's displacements in Luhansk could have been organised as part of a “false flake” operation to plan an attack from Russia, writes Metro.co.uk.
These attacks occurred last night were attributed to pro-Russian separatists.
“signals coming out of Russia suggest Moscow is preparing for “a full attack on Ukraine”, Stoltenberg said, echoing US warnings.
“We all agree that the risk of an attack is too high”, he added for German ARD.
Numerous explosions were heard this evening in Donnetsk, but the nature of the explosions is still unclear.
On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to meet for crisis resolution. Putin, on the other hand, has asked for guarantees that his neighbour, Ukraine, should not join NATO.
It is also noteworthy that the British prime minister has said Russia has been planning the biggest war in Europe since 1945.
