Ukraine has 200,000 active forces in contrast with Russia, which has 850,000. The number of reserve forces of 250,000 share the same number as the two countries that today cut diplomatic relations. Russia, however, is at much greater advantage even in paramilitary forces, which numbers 250,000 troops, while Ukraine has 50,000.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today has indicated he will offer weapons to all Ukrainians who want to defend their country.
