The Anti-Corruption Agency has announced that during January 2022, it has handled 298 cases related to prevention and fighting corruption for the process of declaring property, preventing the conflict of interest, preventing corruption in public procurement, as well as other cases handled on official duty.
During January 2022, the Anti-Corruption Agency has conducted the procedure for preliminary investigations on 167 cases, two criminal allegations and 1 information have been finalised and handed over to the State Prosecutor in February, as well as a tip has been handed over to the Kosovo Police.
“In relation to property control actions, The AKK, has completed full control of property in 80 cases, 20 of the cases have been subjected to full control of property, are held for further investigation, while, in two cases, procedures have been opened, following the report's acceptance of”, the Agency's announcement said.
During the past month only, The AKK says it has initiated 12 new cases, provided 9 responses to subjects who have addressed requests for clarification of the situations suspected of conflict of interest, as well as closed nine other cases handled, of which one with the resignations of a senior official from a public post.
