During today's session, Meta was represented by his legal adviser Blidar Dervisaj, while the head of the Law Commission, Klontililda Bushka, and the head of the Socialist Party's parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, reported.
The final decision will be declared rational within 30 days of taking the” verdict, the head of the Constitutional Court has said.
In a proposal for media, before the final statements were provided, President for Legal Affairs adviser Blidar Dervisaj declared today that the Parliament has intervened in evidence.
“We have rejected the authenticity of a recently deposited test from the Parliament, deposited on February 4th, 2022, which submits to the Constitutional Court some new evidence under the Parliament, including the 19th date 5,5 2021, the Speaker of the Parliament and has to do with the Assembly meeting on the date 75.2021, days that the Parliament would approve the Hetim Commission's date and the adoption of the Law Commission. During the review of the new evidence that was made available to us, it proved to us that there are stored intervention or test manipulation. The order that the Parliament recorded in the Constitutional Court is essentially dated 5.5.2021, while under the order published on Albania's Parliament page, the order holds a score of 6.5. 2021 and not 5,5,2021. This intervention is made that the new evidence is brought to bring down the president's claim concerning the violations we had ascertained regarding the collection of the plenary hearing and agenda”, he has said.
After the end of the session, Dervisaj said that “unfortunately proved today that the Assembly in fulfillment of political goals, and recently deposited document evidence manipulated only with the intention of having the head of state dropped. When this happens with the President, on a matter of such importance, in a case that shouldn't exist and without substance, imagine what we as citizens can think about what happens in other end organs”.
He has made it known that the president has decided to address the prosecutor's body on this issue, as it is in the decision of the Parliament to initiate a parliamentary investigative procedure because we identified ourselves before the court. Just as it is fair of the court to make a decision, but that it must be based on Constitution and law”, Dervisaj said.
