Canada also ends up blocking Russia for airspace

Although many Western nations have blocked their air space for Russian flights, Canada has made such a decision, reports CNN.

Canadian Transport Minister Omar Alghabra has declared Canada's airspace closed to all Russian aircraft operators.

This, according to him, has entered into force immediately.

With immediate power, Canada's airspace is closed to all Russian aircraft operators. We will hold Russia responsible for its unprotested attacks against Ukraine”, Alghabra said.

Canada has joined a number of European countries, including Germany, Italy and France, which have announced they will close its air space for Russian aircraft and airlines in response to the invasion of Ukraine.
