The speed of Russian advancement in Ukraine has temporarily slowed “likely due to acute logistical difficulties and strong Ukrainian resistance”, according to the British Defence Ministry, CNN writes.
In Britain's recent intelligence update of Ukraine, the ministry says the capture of Ukrainian capital Kiev “remains Russia's top military target”.
Russian “Forces are bypassing the main centers of the Ukrainian population, while leaving forces to surround and isolate them”, the report says.
“Nighttime clashes in Kiev likely included a limited number of pre-admissioned Russian sabotage groups, the ministry said.
