State Secretary Antony Blinken has told CNN he is planning to meet with Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergei Lavrov.
A meeting between Blinken and Lavrov is seen as possible, but only if Russia does not attack and invade Ukraine.
If Russia doesn't invade Ukraine, I'm going to the meeting. And I hope he'll come to the meeting too. I will do whatever is possible to see if we can resolve this conflict created by Russia, diplomatically” said Blinken to CNN, conveys the news.net.
He has said the United States has provided some ideas through which the safety of Russia, the US and all of Europe could be enhanced.
This is the conversation I expect me to have with Minister Lavrov. But it all depends on whether Russia invades Ukraine,” said Blinken.
