Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who said that with the aim of achieving compliance between political parties for the final form of this bill, the Prime Minister's Office has organised the discussion table, but according to him, only two parliamentary groups have responded to the invitation.

Prime Minister Kurti said the consensus was not thus reached.

The chief of executives added that through the draft funding of political parties, transparency and accountability to the public increase, and this vote is reasoned.

According to him, various media-reported violations have broadcast illegal financing of political parties and liaison with corruption.

The adoption of this bill is part of the European agenda for reform and recommendation of the European Commission's Country Report, but also the demand of citizens and civil society for transparency in political parties' finances. As Government, we have vowed to bring this bill to the Assembly, and we have done so. But it is our collective responsibility to adopt this bill as soon as possible. This bill is necessary for transparency of political parties' financing and for the purpose of empowering the fight against corruption. For us it is important that the bill clearly define the sources of funding, the allowed sums and offer maximum transparency”, he stressed.

To the bill in question, MP The PDK, Mergim Lushtaku, stressed that his party's GP does not support this, as according to him, is contrary to the Constitution.

He said the bill should be harmonised with the Constitution and laws because the accountability and transparency of political subjects are not achieved in this form, the KP reports.

The same bill that has been so controversial then you've brought about it with no change, where you're claiming you're making order with this bill. This situation is not honoring you, for you are presenting yourself as ignorant then, and today as a deceiver. This bill has to be worked harmonly with the Constitution and the laws of our country. So as it was drafted, it is not achieved what is intended for transparency, accountability of political subjects and contrary to the Constitution. As such, we as the Parliamentary Group do not support”, Lushtaku said.

Until this bill was reviewed, LDK deputies were not at the plenary session.
