The former UN envoy and the European Union in the Balkans said there should be room in the EU for those states that do not share the bloc's basic values and interests.
“With this de facto position Serbia was disqualified from the EU membership process. There should be no room for new EU members who do not share our basic values and interests”, Bildt wrote.
