Bilateral legal assistance agreement adopted between Kosovo, Northern Macedonia

Kosovo Assembly MPs have approved the agreement with Northern Macedonia for mutual judicial assistance in civil affairs.

The positions and opposition supported such an agreement, while Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu said the purpose of the agreement is to strengthen further co-operation in the judicial field between Kosovo and northern Macedonia.

The aim of this agreement is to further strengthen co-operation in the field of legal assistance, in the civil and trade field between the two countries, and to facilitate legal procedures in this area. This agreement applies to issues involving procedures with the civil, family situation, labour relations, property issues and other civil and trade relations of the physical persons, but also judicial procedures”, she said.
