All that Biden said after Russia's recent attack on Ukraine

US President Joe Biden declares that only Russia is responsible for the death and destruction the attack launched today by Vladimir Putin's order. The world will seek accounts from Russia, US President Biden emphasises.

President Putin's “has chosen a deliberate war that will bring devastating loss of life and cause human suffering”, Biden has declared among other things.

President Biden's full statement:

Tonight, the world's prayers are with the people of Ukraine as they are undergoing an untested and unwarranted attack by Russian military forces. President Putin has chosen a deliberate war that will bring devastating loss of life and cause human suffering. Only Russia is responsible for the death and destruction this attack will bring, and the United States and its allies and partners will respond in a united and determined manner. The world will seek accounts from Russia.

Tonight, I will monitor the situation from the White House and continue to receive updates regularly from the national security team. Tomorrow morning I will meet with my G7 counterparts and then talk to the American people to announce the further consequences the United States and our allies and partners will impose on Russia for this unnecessary act of aggression against Ukraine and global peace and security. We will also co-ordinate with our NATO allies to provide a strong and united response that prevents any aggression against the Alliance. Jill and I are praying for the brave and proud people of Ukraine tonight.
